I'm A Whore

So, I have nothing new to add today. Basically, I'm still eating a lot of chocolate and discovering for myself what it must have been like in Berlin during the 1930s: You know bad things are coming, you know who is causing it, and you know that God has provided you with chocolate to get through the day.

On a widely tangential note (OK, not really), Captain Drudge is reporting that Clarence Thomas is a nice choice for Chief Justice. Apparently, all that porn and the "pubic hairs in the Diet Coke" thing is blown over now. And it is good to know that Karl Rove is still on the pipe. Today's flame about gay marriage really made me want to puke. Here's Captain Karl on Fox News:

"Marriage is a very important part of our culture and our society. If we want to have a hopeful and decent society, we ought to aim for the ideal. And the ideal is that marriage ought to be and should be a union of a man and a woman," he continued.

Hopeful. Decent. Yea.

Here's another word: Divorce.

If you clowns actually cared a whit about strengthening the ideal of marriage, you'd make divorce illegal. Of course, that idea would last about...two freaking seconds. But then the debate could at least shift back to a place of honesty: Coming up with ways to make right-wing voters show up to the polls all the time. Hey, with state constitutional amendments, court challenges, federal amendments -- man, Captain Rove could stretch this "gay marriage" thing out 3 or 4 election cycles.

But...that wouldn't happen in America, would it? Naaaaaah.
